The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic has published the results of the 3rd public call for proposals under the “Environment for Life 2” program, subprogram 3. A total of 18 project proposals were submitted to the call. All of them met the formal review criteria and advanced to the evaluation stage. Eight proposals across eight research topics were selected for funding; the overall success rate in the call was thus 44.44%. Palacký University in Olomouc was involved in four proposals submitted in March 2026—three from the Faculty of Science and one from the Faculty of Arts. Two proposals received funding. In one proposal, UP acted as the lead applicant; in the other three, it served as a co-applicant.
Supported projects:
DivLand 2.0 – Biodiversity and Landscape in Context (SQ03030033)
The lead applicant is the Landscape Research Institute; UP is a co-investigator. The principal investigator for UP is Prof. Bořivoj Šarapatka.
Prediction, Assessment, and Sensitivity Analysis of Selected Systems, the Impact of Drought and Climate Change in the Czech Republic 2 (SQ03030026)
The lead applicant is the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute; UP is a co-participant. The principal investigator for UP is Prof. Vít Voženílek.
For all funded proposals, the TA ČR decided to reduce the budgets and related funding by 40 % compared to the submitted proposals. The reason is that the amount of funding available for this call for proposals is lower than anticipated in the call for proposals documentation.
Detailed information and competition results are available on the TA CR website.
