Thessaloniki, Greece, will host a specialised two-day BRIDGES Health programme on 24–25 November 2026, aimed at supporting the successful submission of project applications in the field of health (Cluster 1). The aim of the event is to help participants turn early-stage project ideas and new contacts into strong and competitive consortia and proposals under the Horizon Europe programme.
The programme will focus on key topics from the Health cluster and the Cancer mission:
- Leveraging Functional Genomics to Reveal Novel Targets for Cancer Treatment (HORIZON-MISS-2027-02-CANCER-01) – call details
- Clinical Research by Comprehensive Cancer Infrastructures for the Benefit of Patients with Common Cancers (HORIZON-MISS-2027-02-CANCER-02) – call details
- Predictive Biomarkers of Disease Progression and Treatment Response Using AI (HORIZON-HLTH-2027-02-TOOL-01-two-stage) – call details
- Virtual Human Twins (VHTs) for Integrated Clinical Decision Support in Prevention and Diagnosis (HORIZON-HLTH-2027-03-TOOL-04) – call details
- Advancing Bio-Printing of Living Cells for Regenerative Medicine (HORIZON-HLTH-2027-03-TOOL-02) – call details
The aim of the two-day programme is to transform initial contacts into structured and competitive project proposals. Participants can look forward to a combination of expert-led seminars, practical workshops and moderated matchmaking sessions, which will enable them to refine their project concepts, strengthen their consortium’s strategy and make progress in preparing proposals for open calls under Cluster 1 and the “Cancer Mission” initiative.
The event is intended for experienced coordinators and partners, who are planning to submit a project proposal for the upcoming calls under Cluster 1 – Health.
Applications are open until 15 September 2026, and the selection results will be announced to participants on 30 September 2026. Selected participants will then take part in an online kick-off webinar on 26 October prior to the main event in Thessaloniki. Participation in the programme is free of charge (the training is valued at approximately 1,050 EUR); participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs. Up to 18 selected participants (9 from the EU, 9 from Israel) may also receive a travel grant of up to 750 EUR.
