Ve středu 13. května 2026 od 13:00 do 17:00 se v Brně ve Středisku Teiresiás na Komenského náměstí 2. uskuteční workshop v rámci projektu PEKRV o tom, jak přizvat a zapojit studující do péče o kvalitu výuky.
Letorem bude profesor Odd Morten Mjøena z největší norské univerzity NTNU z Trondheimu, který se zabývá inkluzivitou v univerzitním prostředí, podmínkami, které podporují učení všech studujících a zároveň jsou sociálně bezpečné a přijímající, a zapojuje do vytváření takového prostředí samotné studující. Anotace:
Engaging Students in Universal Design at University
This workshop examines how university teachers and staff can meaningfully involve students, including students with disabilities, in developing and implementing universal design and inclusive teaching practices. Grounded in contemporary frameworks on participation and equality, the workshop presents practical tools for inclusive education, drawing on findings from the research project Pathways to the World of Work for Students with Disabilities in Higher Education and the Checklist for Inclusive Teaching. The emphasis is on universal pedagogical strategies that proactively reduce barriers for all students, rather than on individualized accommodations alone.
Participants will engage in discussions about the competencies educators need to support diverse student groups. Key themes include the balance between diagnosis‑specific knowledge and broader universal design principles, such as accessible use of technology, structured and predictable teaching practices, collaboration within academic environments, student involvement, and alignment with institutional policies.
The workshop includes short lectures, group work, and plenary dialogue. Participants will leave with concrete strategies for enhancing universal design in their own teaching and advising roles, and with a clearer understanding of how students can contribute as active partners in creating accessible and inclusive learning environments.
