The Final Sinophone Conference: What is Hua?

2. November – 4. November 2022

Conceptualization, Methodology and Research on Sinophone Borderlands and Interactions at the Edges

The "Sinophone Borderlands" is a classic representative of post-areal studies - an interdisciplinary phenomenon encompassing different geographical locations inhabited by different political entities covering a wide range of socio-political and religious regimes, and at the same time a dynamic space inhabited by many ethnic groups with very different cultures.
The Department of Asian Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Palacký University in Olomouc is the holder of an ongoing research project Sinophone Borderlands, the lnteractions at the Edges, which focuses on "Sinophone Borderlands" as its object of study. As the end of the project approaches, we are organizing a final conference on "Sinophone Borderlands".
The conference will offer a platform for project researchers as well as international researchers to share and present their topics related to Sinophone Borderlands from different perspectives.
