The Science and Technology Park (STP) helps transform good ideas into great companies and provides the ideal environment for entrepreneurship in Olomouc. STP nurtures an inspirational community of entrepreneurial go-getters, uniting them in the UP Business Club. It offers rental space – office spaces, laboratories, pilot plants, co-working, and virtual offices. Its Technology Transfer division administrates UP intellectual property. It connects companies with Palacký University, provides commercial collaboration with firms in the areas of contracted research, research on commission, and on the basis of licensing agreements. It manages the transfer of findings and inventions into practice. Last but not least, two new commercial centres were launched in the UP STP premises. The UPrint 3D print workplace is the largest 3D print centre in Moravia, offering 3D printing from plastic, polymers, metal powder and paper, including 3D scanning. The Numerical Simulation Laboratory will offer numeric modelling in the program ANSYS Multiphysics on an SGI UV2000 server.
