As part of UP Academic Week, we cordially invite all UP students and employees to the ceremony of presenting the Rector's Awards for 2025.
Awards will be presented for the following categories:
- Rector's Awards for Best Student Theses and Sports Achievements
- Rector's Award for Sustainability
- Rector's Honorable Mentions to Students of Doctoral Programmes for a Professional Article
- Rector's Honorable Mentions to Authors of Professional Books
- UP Teaching Awards
- Rector's Award for Popularization of Science and Communication with the Public
- Special Award for Non-Academic Staff
At this traditional ceremony, Rector Michael Kohajda will award authors of academic publications and successful students for the best Bachelor’s and Master’s theses, dissertations, and sports performances in 2025, and students of doctoral study programmes. For the second time, the ceremony will be accompanied by the UP Teaching Awards and the Rector's Award for the best graduate thesis in the field of sustainability. For the first time ever, the ceremony will also include the presentation of the Rector's Award for the Popularization of Science and Communication with the Public and Special Awards for Non-Academic Staff. For the second year running, the UP Teaching Awards and the Rector's Award for the Best Graduate Theses in the Field of Sustainability will be presented. The ceremony will be hosted by Roman Vencl of Moravian Theatre Olomouc.
