The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic has announced a call for proposals for projects focused on cooperation with expatriate communities abroad. Non-governmental nonprofit organizations and other eligible entities, including public universities, may apply for funding. Proposals may be submitted until Monday, August 3, 2026.
Funding will be provided to projects that contribute to the development of cooperation with Czech expatriate communities, promote the teaching of the Czech language, preserve Czech culture and identity, foster mutual contacts, or implement educational, cultural, scientific, and community activities that benefit compatriots living abroad. This year, emphasis will be placed on supporting Czech schools abroad.
Other supported activities include, in particular: assistance provided by domestic non-governmental nonprofit organizations to Czech expatriate communities abroad in various areas (e.g., summer camps for children of expatriates, conferences, expatriate festivals, coordination of Czech schools abroad, tourism), support for preserving the Czech linguistic and cultural identity of expatriate communities abroad, and the maintenance of immovable monuments abroad associated with Czech cultural heritage.

Information on submitting a project on behalf of Palacký University:
We recommend that interested parties from Palacký University begin preparing their project proposal well in advance. To ensure the signature of Palacký University’s statutory body and the subsequent mailing of all documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, please submit the faculty’s approval of the project submission (cover letter) via email to ludmila.hrabakova@upol.cz by July 21, 2026.& To obtain the relevant attachments for the University of Pardubice, please contact Mgr. Ludmila Hrabáková.
The deadline for submitting project proposals is August 3, 2026, by 8:00 a.m.
Only proposals sent by certified mail (not via data box), courier service, or through other postal service providers will be accepted. Submissions must be sent well in advance; the date of submission is considered to be the date of delivery to the provider’s reception desk.
