Panel discussion about the ongoing war in Ukraine
Ukrainian students currently studying in Olomouc will share their life experiences during the war while maintaining their educational process. Moreover, together with guest speakers at the conference, we will discuss the Russian-Ukrainian war from the following perspectives:
- Law and international legal system (Speaker - Svitlana Khilyuk, director of the Law School of the Ukrainian Catholic University, expert on legal issues of the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine)
- Diplomacy and International Relations (Speaker - Galyna Protsyk, director of International Academic Relations Office; founder and CEO of the NGO "European Initiatives")
- Philosophical and Ethical Framework (Speaker - Yuriy Pidlisnyi, head of the "Ethics-Politics-Economics" programme at UCU, member of the European Security Architecture think tank)
Ukrainian students and professors will talk about key points you should know to understand what is happening in Ukraine:
- Global Impact: why this war affects each of us
- Historical context: brief Russia and Ukraine relations background
- Clash of two civilizations and new world order. Who wins?
After the main conference programme, you will have the opportunity to have a discussion with the panel over a cup of tea with cookies, which will be provided at the event.
