The 12th edition (2025) of the EACL Summer School in Chinese Linguistics (European Association for Chinese Linguistics)
The goal of the summer school is to provide an opportunity for MA and PhD students affiliated to European universities to be exposed to areas in Chinese linguistics which might not be available in their home institution.
Participants can look forward to four thematic courses (each consisting of three sessions), focusing on the syntax of predicate phrases, Chinese morphology, nominal structures, and phonological tone. The courses will be taught by experts from both European and Asian universities.
The program also includes special seminars led by local and international sinologists, expanding the range of topics to include Tibetic languages, classical Chinese dictionaries, post-1989 intellectual discourse, and Cantonese sentence-final particles.
