In August 2026, the Czech Ministry of Health announced calls for grant applications for the year 2027 under the National Programme for Addressing HIV/AIDS and the Health Promotion and Healthcare Programme. Applications may be submitted until 30 September 2026 via the GRANTYS system.
National Programme for Addressing HIV/AIDS 2027
The aim of the grant programme is to reduce the risk of HIV infection and its further spread, in particular through prevention, education, intervention and testing activities targeting selected groups.
For the year 2027, the programme focuses in particular on:
- anonymous and free testing for HIV and, where applicable, other sexually transmitted infections, including related counselling,
- preventive, educational and intervention activities aimed at preventing HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections,
- testing and counselling targeted at specific groups,
- supporting the availability of HIV PrEP for people at increased risk of HIV infection.
Eligible applicants also include universities. For most of the supported priorities, the grant may cover a maximum of 70 % of the total project costs, with a minimum of 30% co-financing required.

Health Promotion and Healthcare 2027
The main objective of the programme is to create conditions for health promotion, improving the quality of healthcare and health literacy with the aim of maintaining the highest possible quality of life, particularly for people with chronic or rare diseases, disabilities and other vulnerable groups within the population.
The supported activities are divided into five main areas:
- support for quality of life and advocacy activities for patients with chronic and incurable diseases,
- improving health literacy and implementing educational and preventative activities,
- improving the quality of life of people with mental health conditions,
- improving the quality of life of people with dementia and their informal carers,
- supporting the care of patients in the terminal stage of illness, particularly in the field of palliative and hospice care.
In this programme, too, eligible applicants include higher education institutions. The grant may cover a maximum of 70 % of the total project costs, meaning the applicant’s minimum contribution is 30 %.

Deadline and method of submission
The deadline for submitting applications for both programmes is 30 September 2026 at 23:59. Applications must be submitted via the Ministry of Health’s Grantys electronic system. The Ministry of Health’s Grantys system.
