The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport has launched the UNIS 2027 call for proposals, which follows on from the programmes implemented since 2020. The call will support students at public universities who participate in sport and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle within university communities through the FISU Healthy Campus programme. Applications may be submitted until 2 November 2026.
The UNIS 2027 call for proposals is aimed at public universities and will support two areas:
- Activity A: coordination and services for students involved in sport – creating conditions that will enable successful and promising athletes with exceptional sporting ability to combine demanding academic requirements with sporting training and participation in competitions
- Activity B: FISU Healthy Campus – introducing a healthy lifestyle into university life through the international FISU Healthy Campus programme
The total allocation amounts to 15.3 million koruna. Of this, 8.09 million is earmarked for supporting student athletes (Activity A) and 7.21 million for the involvement of universities in the FISU Healthy Campus programme (Activity B).& nbsp;Only schools that are also applying under Activity A may apply for funding under Activity B.
The call for proposals for 2027 introduces several changes. The evaluation criteria have been revised, and within Activity A, the scoring scale for project evaluation has also been adjusted. For Activity B, registration with the FISU Healthy Campus programme will now be mandatory for all grant recipients. This will also include the obligation to draw up or update an action plan for implementing the programme, including setting a target level for the FISU Healthy Campus Label.
Under Activity A, the UNIS programme provides service and coordination support to representatives of the Czech Republic or athletes affiliated with ministerial sports centres. They must be involved in an individual discipline from the programme of the upcoming Olympic or Paralympic Games or Deaflympics, or in one of the listed team sports. Activity B has a broader scope and promotes a healthy lifestyle amongst students and staff at public universities. It focuses not only on physical activity, but also on nutrition, disease prevention, mental and social health, the environment and social responsibility.& nbsp;Grants may be used to fund registration for the programme, the maintenance or development of the achieved level of the FISU Healthy Campus Label, and related registration and certification fees.
The deadline for submitting applications is 2 November 2026. Applications must be submitted electronically via the ISPROM system. Any proposed projects on behalf of UP must be coordinated in advance. The submission of applications is coordinated by the UP Project Service. We ask departments wishing to be involved in the preparation process to contact us as soon as possible.
