Thursday 21 May 2026, 7:56

The Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports of the Czech Republic has announced the “8J27FR” call for the submission of grant applications for the implementation of bilateral Czech-French research, development, and innovation projects within the framework of the activity “Support for the Mobility of Researchers within the Context of International Cooperation in R&D. The projects will be implemented in the period 2027–2028. The deadline for submitting applications is July 16, 2026.

The support is intended for establishing contacts and developing cooperation between institutions active in the field of research, development, and innovation in the Czech Republic and France. Funding is focused on supporting the mobility of researchers involved in joint international research projects. Only basic research is supported.

The Czech partner submits a grant application to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MŠMT). The French partner must simultaneously submit a formally identical project proposal in France, in accordance with the rules of the local funding agencies. If only one party submits an application, the project will be automatically excluded from evaluation. Expert committees in both the Czech Republic and France will then evaluate the projects jointly and support those that receive approval from both sides.

The only eligible costs are travel expenses.  The project will begin on January 1, 2027; the project duration is therefore exactly 24 months (project completion by December 31, 2028). The maximum total grant amount per project is 200,000 CZK (100,000 CZK per calendar year).
