Two-day workshop for applicants to the 2026 MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships

Tuesday 19 May 2026, 7:20

The Prague Technology Center is organizing a two-day online workshop titled “How to Apply for the Competitive MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026.” The event will take place on June 10 and 11, 2026, as Module 6 of the preparatory series “How to Apply for Horizon Europe.” The workshop will offer practical information and recommendations for preparing a high-quality project proposal under the MSCA PF program. The seminar will be conducted in English.

The event is intended for researchers who are currently preparing a proposal under the MSCA PF program for submission under the 2026 call with a deadline of September 9, 2026.

The seminar consists of two parts (Program):

Information session (June 10, morning)

Open to all those interested in the MSCA PF program – researchers, applicants, postdocs, project support staff, and potential supervisors.

The following will be presented during the meeting:

  • eligibility requirements,
  • evaluation criteria and the evaluation process,
  • common mistakes in project proposals,
  • principles of open science,
  • gender dimension,
  • ethical aspects of MSCA PF projects.

You must REGISTER for the meeting! (However, it is not necessary to submit supporting documents)

Workshop (June 11, morning)

Intended for researchers who are already working on their project proposal. Researchers who meet the following criteria may participate:

  • are currently based in the Czech Republic and are preparing for an international internship, or
  • plan to complete an internship in the Czech Republic as incoming researchers.

The workshop program includes:

  • feedback from evaluators on CVs and abstracts,
  • working with a successful MSCA PF project proposal,
  • sharing the experiences of a successful applicant.

You must REGISTER for the meeting! (and submit the required documents!)

Participation in the workshop must be confirmed by June 1, 2026 (11:59 PM)

In addition to online registration, participants in the second part—the workshop—must send the organizers (to javurkova@tc.cz) the required documents (in Word format):

  • CV prepared in accordance with MSCA-PF guidelines (5 pages, see application form, p. 35);
  • preliminary abstract of the proposed project (max. 2000 characters);
  • scanned version of the Declaration on Confidentiality and Non-disclosure (template is attached) – this ensures that information about other participants’ proposals, which may be presented during the event, is handled appropriately.

Important: for the purposes of this workshop, your CV and abstract must be anonymized!

This condition will allow evaluators to participate in the workshop. Anonymization means that the following information should not be identifiable from your abstract and CV: your name, the name of your supervisor, the name of your host institution, and the title and acronym of your proposal. To better understand what a CV for an MSCA PF grant applicant should look like, please review the instructions provided in the template of the relevant application form (p. 35).

MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships
The aim of the MSCA is to strengthen the creative and innovative potential of researchers with a Ph.D. who wish to acquire new skills through advanced training and international, interdisciplinary, and cross-sectoral mobility. MSCA postdoctoral fellowships will be open to outstanding researchers of any nationality. The program also supports researchers in engaging in research and innovation projects in the non-academic sector and is open to researchers seeking to reintegrate into the European research community, to persons displaced as a result of conflicts, as well as to high-potential researchers seeking to relaunch their research careers.
