The State Environmental Protection Agency (OPŽP) has launched Call 107 – Modernisation of Environmental Education Centres

Monday 5 October 2026, 13:52

Under the Environment Operational Programme, Call for Proposals No. 107 has been announced – Modernisation of Environmental Education Centres, aimed at modernising environmental education centres with a focus on climate change. The call is intended for organisations already involved in environmental education. The deadline for submitting applications is 25 November 2026.

Support may be provided for investments in indoor and outdoor equipment, the development and acquisition of new educational programmes and materials for climate education, or related modifications to outdoor areas. This may include, for example, demonstration features and cultivation practices focused on adapting to and mitigating climate change.

The following organisations are eligible to apply for funding:

  • Churches and religious societies, voluntary associations of municipalities, regions, city districts of the Capital City of Prague, foundations, endowment funds, institutes, associations and  public benefit organisations, local authorities, organisational units of the state, state-subsidised organisations, public-law institutions, public research institutions, universities, schools and educational establishments

Key details of the call for proposals:

  • application period: 14 October – 25 November 2026,

  • Amount of funding: 1–5 million CZK per project,

  • funding rate: max. 80 % of eligible expenditure – it is therefore necessary to allow for a min. 20% co-financing,

  • total allocation for the call: 100 million CZK,

  • this is a round-based (competitive) call.

Each applicant may submit only one application per company registration number (IČO), which, in the case of Palacký University in Olomouc, means one project for the entire university.

Non-commercial organisations providing environmental education are also required to have been carrying out this activity for at least 3 years prior to submitting the application and to be listed on the website ekocentra.cz. To demonstrate compliance with this condition, an indicative threshold of 3,000 participant-hours in environmental education programmes over the last 3 years has been set. The call for proposals is therefore not intended for organisations that are only just starting out with environmental education.
