The Czech Science Foundation (TA ČR) has published the results of the 15th public call for proposals under the SIGMA – DC3 program, which supports the practical application of the social sciences, humanities, and the arts. Of the 221 proposals submitted, 28 projects received funding, resulting in an overall success rate of 12.67%. Palacký University in Olomouc submitted 16 proposals for evaluation and was successful with two of them.

The following projects received funding:

  • Hapax Profiling of Disinformation Actors and Personalized Counter-Narratives to Strengthen Society’s Cognitive Resilience – Assoc. Prof. Dan Faltýnek, Ph.D., Faculty of Arts. UP will lead the project in collaboration with Relspeek s.r.o.
  • A Safe and Adaptable Environment in Senior Care Facilities During Emergencies – Mgr. Adéla Hanáková, Ph.D., Faculty of Education. UP is participating in the project as a partner. The lead applicant is VŠB–TUO.

Another 6 proposals were recommended for support but have not yet received funding due to a lack of resources:

  • Faculty of Arts: 2 proposals
  • Faculty of Education: 1 proposal
  • Cyril and Methodius Faculty of Theology: 1 proposal
  • Faculty of Physical Education: 1 proposal
  • Faculty of Law: 1 proposal

These proposals may still receive funding if TA ČR does not enter into a contract with any of the originally selected bidders. The decision will be based on the established ranking.
