We will also focus on how to support classmates, students, or friends with ADHD, and why it is important to approach neurodiversity with openness, acceptance, and respect.

Workshop: ADHD in practice – how to support neurodivergent students and yourself

How to support neurodivergent students and yourself is a practical workshop. It offers practical tools and tips for everyday functioning for people with ADHD, as well as for those who want to better understand neurodivergent students, classmates, or colleagues. We will also focus on model situations from the academic environment, focusing on effective strategies for coping with and solving them – whether in the role of individuals with ADHD or as their support.

Exhibition opening: Together in Diversity 2025

Time: 3:00 p.m.

Location: Zbrojnice (Biskupské náměstí 1)

Target group: UP students; UP employees; general public

The second annual Together in Diversity exhibition will present the work of Jasmina Černotová and Nikolas Kaňů. Jasmina and Nikolas' paths converge in their search for identity and personal expression. Art can be a journey—to ourselves, to others, and to the world around us.

The event is open to everyone without prior registration.

Nikolas Kaňů studies bioinorganic chemistry at the Faculty of Science, but in his free time he devotes himself to everything "non-chemical." Poetry occupies the largest space in his work, complemented by painting and jewelry making. For him, art is not just a personal expression—it is also a testimony and a guide to life in a world that often denies people like him the space to represent themselves and only wants to hear them in the tabloids.

Jasmina Černotová has been involved in art since childhood—she studied classical ballet at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava for eight years. At that time, painting was not only a form of relaxation for her, but also an escape from a reality that was not always pleasant. Today, she finds in it a space without boundaries or rules, where she can express herself completely authentically. Each painting is a reflection of her inner self, which she reveals without hesitation through her brush.

Presentation of a series of videos

Time: 3:30–5:30 p.m.

Location: UP Arts Centre – Konvikt, Film Hall in the attic (Univerzitní 3)

Target group: UP students; UP employees; general public

Four student videos connect the theme of the university environment and student experiences viewed from different perspectives. Each video reveals a different level: from the personal story of a student who encounters the injustice of the system, through a metaphorical visualization of conformity and the search for one's own identity, to an insight into the everyday life of a student with visual impairment. The final video presents the university as a space where diverse people, their emotions, and relationships come together. Together, they form a mosaic that presents the university not only as an educational institution, but also as a place where values, identity, and shared experiences are formed.

Registration will be available on this website.
