Science and Technology Park (STP)
The UP STP (in Czech VTP) is the innovation and technology transfer centre of Palacký University. It supports the establishment of start-ups and spin-offs, with a strong focus on unlocking and utilising the University's potential. It makes new technologies accessible and connects businesses with the Palacký University community.
EduArt - Centre for Evidence-based Education & Arts Therapies
The Centre for Evidence-Based Education and Arts Therapies (EduArt) at the Faculty of Education, Palacký University Olomouc is an internationally oriented methodological centre dedicated to advancing evidence-informed education. Its mission is to strengthen educational policy, pedagogical practice, and research through the systematic use of the best available evidence and internationally recognised methodological standards. EduArt is a pioneering methodological centre that systematically integrates the internationally recognised JBI and GRADE methodologies to advance evidence-informed decision-making in education. EduArt maintains long-term collaborations with leading national and international organisations. In the Czech Republic, its principal partners include the National Institute for Quality and Excellence in Healthcare (NIKEZ), the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the Czech School Inspectorate, and Schola Empirica.
Center for Prevention of Risky Virtual Communication
The Center for Prevention of Risky Virtual Communication (CPRVC), based at the Faculty of Education of Palacký University Olomouc, is a certified higher education institution specialising in the prevention of risks associated with the use of information and communication technologies by children. Its activities focus particularly on cyberbullying, online grooming, cyberstalking, hoaxes and spam, sexting, social engineering methods, the sharing of personal information via social networking platforms, and other harmful online communication practices. The centre undertakes educational, research, preventive, and intervention activities, while also promoting the positive use of modern digital technologies among children and adults.

Projects and Grants
The UP Project Service provides comprehensive advice and information on research projects and funding opportunities. Its project advisers can help you navigate funding calls and provide support with project administration and financial management. The Project Service also organises workshops and training sessions. In addition, its website provides up-to-date information on current funding calls.
Doctoral students can apply for funding through the University’s Internal Grant Agency (IGA) scheme. Among external funding opportunities, PhD candidates may be particularly interested in junior grant calls offered by the Czech Science Foundation (GA CR), the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR), and selected calls under the Horizon Europe programme.
Faculties also typically have their own project support offices.
Open Science
Open Science is an approach based on the principle that scientific knowledge should be openly shared, accessible, and reusable. It seeks to bring about a systemic change in established research practices and promotes the free and public sharing of knowledge throughout the entire research information lifecycle.
