V4 Gen Mini-Grants: Funding Available for Short-Term Mobility Programs for Young People

Tuesday 17 March 2026, 8:43

The April deadline for submitting applications for V4 Gen Mini-Grants is approaching. These grants will enable successful applicants to organize short-term mobility programs for young people within the V4 countries (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia) and Ukraine. This call offers an opportunity to secure funding for exchange programs or educational, sports, and cultural events. The deadline for submitting the final project proposal is April 15, 2025 (however, project registration must be completed by April 1).

In the application, you must select one of the grant program’s objectives from the six available areas, or you may create your own objective. The Visegrad Fund supports any meaningful joint youth activities in the region, but each project should adhere to the following principles: Inclusiveness; Teaching and learning; Cross-border cooperation and good neighborliness. At least two V4 countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) must be involved in the project. In addition, immediate neighbors of both V4 countries (Austria, Germany, and/or Ukraine) may also participate.

The program aims to promote physical cross-border mobility, which will lead to networking and collaboration among young people aged 12 to 30. You can therefore receive financial support for a wide range of joint activities, from professional internships and practical workshops to sustainability initiatives, as well as film and music performances. In addition to students and young people, teachers and coaches may also participate in the projects. A condition of the grant is the implementation of at least one joint activity or reciprocal exchange visit (lasting a maximum of 7 days).

Who is eligible to apply for funding?

  • Schools of all types: public, private, and religious—from elementary and secondary schools to universities
  • Extracurricular organizations: Scout troops, sports clubs, volunteer fire departments
  • Arts and recreational organizations: Elementary arts schools (ZUŠ), children’s and youth centers (DDM)
  • Nonprofit organizations: Any associations dedicated to the development of young people

Financial Support

The maximum amount of support is €10,000. The funds can be drawn as a lump sum; this lump-sum support can cover any costs related to joint activities of the participating partners (travel expenses, accommodation, admission fees, refreshments, honoraria, and the like). Fixed support ranges up to €50–60 per person per day.

The V4 Gen Mini-Grants call for proposals opens twice a year. Applications are submitted via an online project registration form. The final application must be submitted by noon (12:00) on the specified deadline.

Spring Call for Proposals: Opened on March 1; deadline is April 15.

Fall Call for Proposals: Opens on October 1; deadline is November 15.
