Pixie Academy, an educational organisation from Turkey, has expressed an interest in participating in upcoming projects at Palacký University as part of the Erasmus+ programme. It would bring to the partnership its experience in organising training courses, digital teaching and the dissemination of results. Departments across the university that are considering submitting a project and are interested in collaborating with the Turkish organisation may contact the UP Project Service.
Pixie Academy
This Turkey-based organisation runs courses and professional placements as part of the Erasmus+ staff mobility programme, covering areas such as digital tools in teaching, virtual reality, gamification, inclusive education and the CLIL method, amongst others. Since its inception, it has participated in more than 310 Erasmus+ mobility projects and collaborates with partners from over 15 countries. It also works with the Polish organisation I&I Warsaw, which focuses on the inclusion of migrants and disadvantaged groups in education. In the past, it has also participated in four KA220 projects (such as CoHER, YRUX and NeDst) and two smaller KA210 partnerships.
Pixie Academy is interested in joining one of UP’s forthcoming KA220-HED – higher education partnership projects as a non-academic partner. In these projects, it typically oversees the development of educational programmes and training, the pilot testing of outputs with students and lecturers, and the dissemination of project results. In addition to participating in UP projects, the organisation is also open to jointly developing a new project or inviting the university to participate in its own grant applications. It can send its Partner Information Files (PIFs) to interested parties and offers an introductory online meeting.
KA220 Cooperative Partnership Projects
Cooperative partnerships under the Erasmus+ programme are aimed at improving the quality of the activities of the participating organisations and strengthening their capacity for international cooperation. Projects are expected to develop innovative approaches and to ensure the systematic dissemination and use of their outputs. Projects last between 12 and 36 months, and partnerships must consist of at least three organisations from three different countries participating in the programme. Applicants choose one of three lump-sum grant amounts, depending on the scope of the planned activities: 120,000, 250,000 or 400,000 euros. For higher education institutions, the most relevant option is Partnerships in Higher Education (KA220-HED). Its aim is to improve the quality and relevance of higher education, promote innovation in teaching—including the use of digital tools—strengthen international cooperation between higher education institutions and other partners, and foster an open, inclusive and sustainable environment.& nbsp;Partnerships in the field of school education (KA220-SCH) and youth (KA220-YOU) are designed in a similar way.
If you are considering collaborating with Pixie Academy or preparing a KA220 project, you can contact staff at the UP Project Service.
