The European Union and the United Kingdom have reached an agreement that paves the way for the UK's re-entry into the Erasmus+ program. Following negotiations that began at the EU-UK summit in May, the European Commission and the United Kingdom have successfully concluded negotiations on the United Kingdom's association with the Erasmus+ program from 2027. The UK's renewed participation in the Erasmus+ program will bring new opportunities in the fields of education, training, sport, and youth work, both for participants from the UK and from EU member states. A significant benefit is expected for the younger generation in particular, as rejoining will open the door to thousands of exchanges, internships, and sports activities. Both sides consider the terms of the association, including the financial arrangements, to be balanced and fair, taking into account the UK's contribution and the benefits offered by the Erasmus+ program. The agreement creates a stable framework for the UK's participation in the program from 2027.
