TA CR has announced the 16th call for proposals under the SIGMA Program – Sub-Objective 4, Bilateral Cooperation

The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (hereinafter referred to as “TA CR”) announced on April 22, 2026, the sixteenth public call for proposals under the SIGMA Program for the Support of Applied Research and Innovation – Sub-objective 4, Bilateral Cooperation. The deadline for submitting project proposals is June 24, 2026.

 

The SIGMA – DC4 program focuses on supporting international cooperation in the field of applied research through joint projects between Czech entities supported by TA ČR and foreign partners with support from foreign organizations.

The main objective of the public call is to increase the number of outputs and results in areas that hold promise for the future of the participating countries. Another objective of the public call is to support the transfer of international knowledge, the sharing of best practices, and to facilitate entry into foreign markets.

 

Foreign partners must be based in one of the following locations:

The competition period begins on April 23, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. and ends on June 24, 2026, at the times listed below:

  • 4:29:59 p.m.  – is the latest possible time to submit a project proposal via the information system SISTA;
  • 11:59:59 p.m.  – is the latest possible time to submit documents proving eligibility, which each applicant must submit separately.

 

This public call for proposals will be announced in the shared information system of the TA ČR – SISTA. Project proposals must be submitted via the information system in English. 

 

In order for an applicant to create and submit a project proposal, they must meet the system’s new technical requirements – e.g., register their organization and designate its administrators. Without registering the organization and adding organization administrators, it will not be possible to submit a project proposal or draw public funds for applied research projects. We have covered all the new technical requirements in detail at this article, so we recommend paying close attention to it.

  • For project record-keeping purposes, please note that you must make the project proposal available in SISTA via email to:& ludmila.hrabakova@upol.czWithout this step, it will not be possible to ensure adequate cooperation from UPOL when submitting the project proposal. Projects in which UPOL acts only as a partner must also be made available.
