The European Commission has announced the next edition of the REGIOSTARS 2026 competition, which recognizes exceptional projects funded by EU funds under cohesion policy. In addition to the prestigious award, winners will receive funding to promote their project’s results and the opportunity to present their work through the EU funds’ communication network. As in previous years, awards will be given to projects competing in five categories. The deadline for applications is May 22, 2026.
The REGIOSTARS Awards, organized annually since 2008 by the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO), recognize outstanding EU-funded projects that support regional development. Over the years, they have become a European seal of excellence for initiatives that have a lasting impact and promote inclusion.
