Civic competences and inclusive teaching. The EEA Grants are launching a new educational programme

Thursday 1 October 2026, 11:24

The Centre for International Cooperation (DZS) is organising the ‘Education for Democracy’ launch conference on 10 November 2026 in Prague. At the conference, it will present the “Education and Training Programme” funded by the EEA Grants for the period 2021– 2028 and will offer participants the opportunity to find partners for future projects from both the Czech Republic and abroad. Registration for the conference is open until 14 October.

The new programme is based on three main themes:

  • civic competences,
  • the resilience of democracy,
  • modern and inclusive teaching.

The aim of the programme is to support systemic changes in formal education. The programme is based on bilateral cooperation between Czech institutions and those in donor countries. The programme’s partners on the donor side are the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills (HK-DIR) and the Liechtenstein Agency for International Education (AIBA). Their involvement is intended to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experience within the framework of partner projects.
