Dear readers,

We bring you the second February issue of the PS UP newsletter, which provides information during a period that is traditionally extremely intense for the project community. The beginning of the year is marked by the announcement of new calls, including the anticipated GA ČR competitions, and at the same time, preparations are culminating for projects in already open programs, whose deadlines are fast approaching.

The university environment also confirms that there is growing interest in high-quality projects and competition is increasing across programs. This is also evidenced by the results of the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2025 call, which saw a record number of applications. Palacký University achieved significant success – four projects were supported, all implemented at the CATRIN institute. Congratulations to all the researchers and the CATRIN institute!

Despite the fast pace of the past few weeks, we managed to step out of the daily whirlwind of emails, spreadsheets, and reports for a moment. The informal meeting "Na Palubu PS UP" (On Board PS UP) provided an opportunity for personal meetings with colleagues from the project sphere across the university. We are delighted with the high turnout, open dialogue, and pleasant atmosphere that we created together during the afternoon.

On behalf of the entire Project Service team, we wish you plenty of energy for the coming weeks and plenty of inspiration for new project opportunities.

Do you have a suggestion, comment, or topic that we should address? We welcome your input and will be happy to take it into account when preparing future issues of the newsletter. You can contact us by email at jan.fryba@upol.cz. Thank you!
