As a 21-year-old university student in Japan, Airi is preparing to enter the workforce. At first glance, she appears like many other young women in Japan. But her childhood altered the course of her life. When she was six years old, her entire hometown was forced to evacuate following the disaster in Fukushima. Her life was suddenly disrupted, leading to years of separation, displacement, and constant movement. For the first time, Airi speaks with her father about that period, reflecting on how the experience has shaped her and how it informs her future.
