Dear readers,
Every scientific career has its turning point. It begins with curiosity, followed by a period when the researcher learns from others and gains experience, builds connections, and finds the courage to forge their own path. And one day, the moment comes when a good idea can become a project of their own—with a new team, a laboratory, and new responsibilities. And it is precisely these moments that are the focus of the October issue of the PS UP Informuje newsletter.
Thirteen young scientists took this step thanks to this year’s UP Junior Grant, which attracted a record 57 applicants. High-quality ideas and systematic work are also behind the results of the GAČR EXPRO and JUNIOR STAR competitions, in which Alexander Dömling and Soňa Krajčovičová from Palacký University received funding. New opportunities are opening up for researchers at all career stages, and in this issue we’ll try to highlight the most interesting ones.
You can read more about these competitions and other news from the world of grants in the latest issue of the newsletter.
Enjoy the read!
