The Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports (MŠMT) has announced a new public call for proposals in research, development, and innovation titled LUAKR26. This call is being implemented as part of the INTER-EXCELLENCE II program, subprogram INTER-ACTION and is aimed at supporting bilateral projects between the Czech Republic and the Republic of Korea. The deadline for submitting proposals is July 30, 2026.
The aim of the call for proposals is to select joint research projects in both basic and applied research. Project proposals must focus on one of the following scientific fields: Biosciences (Bio sciences),& Chemical Materials (Chemical Materials), and Digital (Digital Technologies).& nbsp;The duration of the funded projects is set at 3 years (beginning on December 1, 2026, and ending on November 30, 2029).
The Czech applicant must attach a so-called „Letter of Intent“ (signed by the Korean partner) to the project proposal, demonstrating the intention to collaborate with the Korean partner. The Korean partner must simultaneously submit an application to its national funding agency (Ministry of Science and ICT of the Republic of Korea, MSIT). The maximum amount of funding per project is 5 million CZK over a period of 3 years. The total budget for this call is 25 million CZK, and 5 projects are to be funded. A specific individual may serve as the principal investigator in only one project proposal in this call.
