Dear readers,
This summer serves yet another reminder that extreme heat and a lack of rainfall are becoming an increasingly common reality. Like other natural disasters in recent years, they leave their mark not only on the landscape and property, but also on the mental well-being of those who have experienced them – and long-term consequences, such as anxiety or a loss of security, often go unaddressed without systematic support. A team from Palacký University in Olomouc is therefore developing the CLIMMAID app. You can read about how the idea to combine psychology, artificial intelligence and crisis intervention came about in the latest issue of the PS UP Informuje newsletter.
With the end of the summer holidays drawing near, our autumn programme is also filling up very quickly. The September calendar features a wide variety of events, ranging from webinars to partner exchanges.
Finally, here’s an invitation: on 17 September we’re organising the PS UP Open Day for you, where you’ll be able to meet our whole team in person. And what else can you look forward to? Let your curiosity guide you, just like the cartoon cat, and come and see us – we look forward to seeing you!
We hope you find this an inspiring read!
Do you have a suggestion, comment or topic you’d like us to cover? We welcome your suggestions and will be happy to take them into account when preparing future issues of the newsletter. You can contact us by email at jan.fryba@upol.cz. Thank you!
