Dear readers,

Time flies inexorably, and together we’ve welcomed the arrival of astronomical spring. I believe the sun’s rays will infuse us all with much-needed energy, allowing us to move our ongoing projects a step further. And perhaps even turn them into successfully submitted grant applications.

In addition to new AI assistants, March has also brought a wealth of interesting topics from the fields of science and research. Before we delve into some of them in the new issue of PS UP Informuje, I’d like to invite you to take a peek behind the scenes of our Project Services department. Our colleague Pavla Tresterová has prepared the annual report for 2025. What have we achieved together over the past year? You’ll find out in the annual report!

The roundtable discussion in March wasn’t limited to GA ČR projects. The Industrial Chairs meeting brought a number of ideas to applied research. But the goal is clear: to bring top leaders to the Czech Republic and work toward transforming the research environment.
For scientists with ambitions in cutting-edge basic research, there are new calls—EXPRO and Junior STAR—which this year are accompanied by a major technical innovation: the transition to the GRITA submission system.

I wish you an inspiring read and a successful start to the spring months.
