Papa Rainbow documentary screening + discussion with the author
'Papa Rainbow' (2016, 80min) is a feature documentary tracing the paths of six Chinese fathers in their quest to be pioneering LGBTQ+ activists in Confucianist, conservative China. While offering startlingly intimate portraits and beautiful insights into the relationship between father and queer child, 'Papa Rainbow' ultimately celebrates love and activism, and reveals what it means to be queer in China today.
