At Palacký University Olomouc we believe that every student brings unique potential and we want to help you develop it to the fullest.
This page serves as a guide to the support opportunities available to students who excel academically, creatively or professionally, or who demonstrate specific talents or exceptional abilities.
Here you will find information about available scholarships, as well as organisations and initiatives dedicated to supporting talent at Palacký University — such as Talentovaný Palacký, the UP Student Club, and the Palacký University Endowment Fund—along with contact details for support coordinators at individual faculties.
We are here to support your growth, help you develop your strengths, and assist you in finding opportunities that will move you forward.
Talentovaný Palacký
The Talentovaný Palacký programme supports student engagement in activities beyond the standard curriculum and offers opportunities to develop a wide range of talents and skills. Students can choose from several elective courses, as well as a rich programme of lectures and workshops.
For example the course “Kick-Start Your Career!” helps students prepare for entering the labor market—from creating an effective CV and building a LinkedIn profile, to navigating job opportunities and developing professional networks.
A complete overview of elective courses, workshops, and lectures is available online and some are English friendly.
Highly motivated and gifted students can also enrol in the course “Leadership Matters!”, which focuses on preparing students for key leadership roles in business, research, the public sector, culture, education, and non-profit organisations. The course develops strategic thinking, innovation skills, digital competencies, and emotional intelligence.
UP Career Centre – support for professional development and employability
The Career Centre of Palacký University offers students comprehensive support in career development and entering the labour market. Students can benefit from career counselling and coaching, guidance in finding part-time jobs and internships, seminars, workshops and training aimed at career planning and employability.
The Career Centre regularly organizes events and provides individual support with CV and cover letter preparation, personal portfolio development, and mock interview practice, as well as access to job and internship opportunities from employers.
The goal of the Career Centre is to help students navigate the job market, boost their professional growth and ease the transition from study to practice. Services provided by the Career Centre are free of charge for UP students.
UP Student Club
The UP Student Club serves as the university’s community and advisory centre. It is a space where students can develop their skills and careers, meet others, share experiences and create new collaborations. Students support fellow students - whether by helping them navigate university life or by guiding them toward suitable activities and opportunities for involvement.
The club also provides a base for student community life and hosts workshops, lectures and non-profit events.
