Please send your suggestion for a candidate to give The J.L. Fischer Memorial Lecture by 30 May.

The J.L. Fischer Memorial Lecture has been taking place every November since 1994 in honour of the first Palacký University rector after its reinstatement in 1946. Proposals for speaker can be made by any UP student or employee; proposals must include reasons why your candidate is deserving. They could be a significant Czech or even foreign personality from any field of knowledge.

Send your proposals to prorektorvav@upol.cz by 30 May 2025. The final choice will be made by the UP Rector, based on proposal recommendations forwarded by a university committee. Get inspired by the list of speakers who have delivered the J.L. Fischer Memorial Lecture in the past.
