Dear students,

The period of the most rigid winter at UP does not only mean the period of exams, writing final papers and reports, closing projects and counting taxes. It is also the time when the campaign directed at applicants for university studies reaches its peak. This is why students from all faculties are introducing Olomouc, Palacký University and its study offer to high school students and their parents at the Gaudeamus fair in Prague.

Another UP Open Day is planned for this Saturday – all information is available on the University City (in Czech) website. Do not hesitate to invite your friends who might be interested in studying at UP!

WHAT'S GOING ON AT UP

Briefly from the UP management meeting

At the last management meeting on Wednesday 17 January 2024, the launch of the Single Digital Gateway to provide access to information, procedures and helpdesk and resolution services was discussed. Also, the new leadership of the Rada vysokých škol and the dates of the Master's graduation ceremonies are known. Read the full summary (in Czech) (after logging in to the UP Portal), we will have more for you in 14 days. More detailed information will subsequently be available in the minutes of the management meeting in UPShare, as well as in the minutes of other bodies, in UP standards and documents and on other information platforms.

Don't miss out on cheaper tickets to the UP Ball

For one week only, you can get tickets for the Palacký University Ball at a cheaper presale price. For UP students, tickets without a seat are still available for CZK 590. In addition to the Moondance Orchestra, you will also hear the Cimbal HellBand, whose repertoire consists not only of Moravian folk songs, but also pop and rock hits. They will perform in the Sal de Mar Hall, which offers a quieter atmosphere than the main hall. You can also look forward to a fashion show of dresses designed by a student of our law school, a rich banquet and a raffle.

Survey: Care for victims of inappropriate behaviour at UP

To set up a prevention network, we are trying to find out if you know who to contact if you are a victim or witness of inappropriate behaviour at UP (bullying, gender-based violence, discrimination, etc.). We therefore ask you to fill in the flash survey (in Czech). The results of the survey will be used to improve awareness of the prevention network at UP if it proves to be insufficient.
