Briefly from the UP management meeting 

At the last management meeting (21 June), the budget preparation, nomination of a new member of the UP Board of Trustees and the transportation of the insignia for the autumn exhibition were discussed. More detailed information will be subsequently available in the minutes of the management meeting in UPShare, as well as in the minutes of other bodies, in UP standards and documents and on other information platforms.

Registration of courses for the winter semester is approaching

Summer has barely begun, and one should already be planning for autumn and winter... At some faculties, course registration begins in the second week of July. Open the schedule (PDF) on page 4 and below to find the dates and times when enrollment will begin according to your faculty, year, type of study, and other criteria.

Overview of Palacký University medals can be found on the website

The collection of fifteen medals that Palacký University has awarded since 1946 and still awards to prominent personalities is now available for viewing on the University's website (in Czech). So far, the most important and most frequently awarded medals have been processed: the UP Meritorious Medals, the UP Jubilee Medals and the Commemorative and Meritorious Medal for the 200th anniversary of Josef Dobrovský's stay in Olomouc. LECTURES AND COURSES

The new "C" course: sustainable development in theory and practice 

Twelve sessions on topics such as climate change, the importance of biodiversity, water availability and smart cities, plus three credits. That's what the new course Sustainable Development in Theory and Practice, which you can enrol in as a "C" elective, will look like. It will be taught every Tuesday at 5 pm at the Fort Science, and you can find it in STAG under the code EKO/URTP. You can read more in the article (in Czech).

Broaden your world view during the Global Affairs Academy

Want to learn more about global affairs, security and diplomacy from diplomats and experts? The U.S. Embassy in Prague invites Bc. students to the five-day (September 11–15) Global Affairs Academy, a prestigious program designed to inspire a new generation of Czech leaders in international relations, diplomacy, international economics, and global development. Applications are open until 9 July, details can be found here.

Summer School of Statistical Methods

The summer school will facilitate the preparation and processing of your experiments, greatly accelerate and refine the processing of your experimental results, including their interpretation and presentation. It will take place in August, both in person and online. More information can be found on the website (in Czech).

Help create better tests for driving schools 

How do drivers evaluate potentially risky situations on the road and how to make the driving school final test more effective? Join the research of the psychology department! The department is now looking for adult drivers who hold a driver's licence with a licence number of. They have at least 3 years, but no more than 10 years, and have driven at least 15,000 km. During the research you will watch videos containing potentially risky situations from a driver's perspective. Register via the form, details are on the website (in Czech).

  • Rules of Procedure of the AS UP (Jednací řád AS UP)

    The UP Internal Regulation, effective from 1 July 2023, (in Czech) is intended mainly for members of the UP Academic Senate, but also for the entire academic community. It regulates the organs and meetings of the UP AS, the approval of internal regulations, the budget and strategic plans of UP, regulates the process of granting prior approval for the appointment and removal of members of the UP AGM, UP SC and the University Institute, regulates the procedure for the proposal for the appointment of the Rector and the procedure for the proposal for his/her removal, the approval for the removal of the Dean and the statement of the Rector's intention to appoint and remove Vice-Rectors.
