Summer Semester 2020/2021

As the semester is fast approaching and we are welcoming a limited number of new international students next week. This is to provide the latest update on the organization of the semester and assure you that Palacký university is paying extreme attention to the CoVID-19 situation development. https://www.upol.cz/en/covid-19/

Due to the pandemic, the management of Palacký University has decided that the mode of teaching will predominantly be on-line and made the difficult decision to cancel the physical mobility of Erasmus (KA103) students at several Palacký University Faculties in the summer semester 2020/2021.

Erasmus students accepted for studies at the Palacký University Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Theology, Faculty of Law, and Faculty of Science* are now offered only online mode of education (virtual mobility) from their homes. Students of these faculties are not expected to come to Olomouc. Virtual mobility students may need to adjust their approved study plans(LA) and substitute practical subjects with theoretical ones.

Only students of the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, and Faculty of Physical Culture, and individual students of the Faculty of Science granted the exception for performing laboratory projects are expected to come to the campus for a combination of virtual and face-to-face teaching (practical part) as these students cannot perform only virtual mobility from home. To meet the requirements of their study plans they must be present in Olomouc.

Students who continue their mobility from the winter semester (accepted for winter and summer semester 2020/2021) are allowed to come to Olomouc as well.

If your students cannot or do not want to take part in the virtual exchange, we will cancel their enrolment.

We are very sorry about this decision and regret any inconvenience it may cause.
