What is it about

This BIP addresses the broad concept of the necessity of interdisciplinary approach in the fields of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. As we are very much aware of the necessity of coordinating our treatments and approaches across different fields, we decided to bring together PTs and OTs, as well as other professionals, to learn more about communication, team dynamics, comprehensive treatment, and many more topics.

Students will be divided into mixed international and interdisciplinary groups to encourage collaboration across different professional backgrounds. Each group will be introduced to the joint project, which will be closely linked to the specific topics covered throughout the BIP. The project assignment will provide a clear framework, including objectives, expected outcomes, and guidance on how to integrate knowledge from various disciplines. Students will be encouraged to approach the project collaboratively, drawing on their diverse expertise and perspectives. This early group formation will support team cohesion and allow sufficient time for discussion, planning, and development of their project work over the duration of the programme.

What you’ll walk away with

  • understanding of the interdisciplinary approach and how to apply it across a wide spectrum of diagnoses in physiotherapy and occupational therapy
