Dean of the Faculty of Science, Palacky University in Olomouc issue an open competition, are searching for a suitable candidate for the position

Junior researcher

Place of work: Centre of the Region Hana, Department of Chemical Biology and Genetics, Faculty of Science, Palacky University in Olomouc, Šlechtitelů 27, Olomouc, Czech republic (Information on the department and its activities is available here)
Number of positions: 2
Work load: 1,0 (full-time, 40 h per week)

Project: Plants as a tool for sustainable global development (CZ.02.1.01/0.0/0.0/16_019/0000827)

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in biology or related fields;
  • practical knowledge in the field of high-throughput and large-scale screening methods, non-invasive methods in plant biology and automation of processes;
  • practical experience in development of high-throughput screening methods for identification of biologically active compounds or plant phenotyping;
  • appropriate publication activities in international journals;
  • experience with leading of Master or Ph.D. students is welcomed;
  • international experience in the respective field, including foreign research fellowship application;
  • experience with active presentation of the results at international conferences;
  • active command of English.

Junior researcher

Work load: 0,7 (part-time, 28 h per week)

Project: Development of pre-applied research in nanotechnogy and biotechnology (CZ.02.1.01/0.0/0.0/17_048/0007323)

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Experimental biology or related field of study;
  • advanced knowledge in preparation (synthesis) of biologically active heterocyclic derivatives and the study of their biological and antisenescent effects;
  • practical experience in analysis of newly prepared plant hormones derivatives (MS, NMR);
  • appropriate publication activities;
  • at least 3 publications in high-quality impacted international journals on the topic of preparation of plant growth hormones of their biological activity study;
  • ability to work on assigned research activities and independently solve smaller research tasks coordinated by a key or excellent reasercher;
  • experience in presenting scientific results;
  • active command of English.

 

      The announcer reserves the right to cancel the open competition or not to choose a successful candidate without giving any reason in an exceptional case.
