Dean of the Faculty of Science, Palacky University in Olomouc issue an open competition, are searching for a suitable candidate for the position

Junior researcher

Place of work: Centre of the Region Hana, Department of Biophysics, Faculty of Science, Palacky University in Olomouc, Šlechtitelů 27, Olomouc, Czech republic (Information on the department and its activities is available here)
Number of positions: 1
Work load: 1,0 (full-time, 40 h per week)
Start of job: February 1, 2020
Project: Plants as a tool for sustainable global development (CZ.02.1.01/0.0/0.0/16_019/0000827)

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Biophysics or related field of study;
  • advanced knowledge of biochemical methods used for specimen preparation for advanced microscopic techniques;
  • a practical experience in isolation of proteins and protein complexes (purification of proteins from intact organisms, protein purification by affinity chromatography, native electrophoresis, 2D electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, Western blot);
  • appropriate publication activities – at least 5 publications, in which the applicant is the first author, in high-quality impacted international journals;
  • active command of English;
  • ability to work on assigned research activities and independently solve smaller research tasks coordinated by a key or excellent researcher;
  • experience in presenting scientific results.

 

The announcer reserves the right to cancel the open competition or not to choose a successful candidate without giving any reason in an exceptional case.
