A price of the ticket is 14,- CZK (20,- CZK, if bought on the board from a driver). It is necesarry to stamp the ticket on the board. Tickets are available at newsagents' and there are also vending machines situated near the railway station's main entrance and at the tram stop.
Should you feel better with some assistance right upon your arrival in Olomouc, please contact our students' buddy service in advance at esnup.upol(at)gmail.com or visit www.esnup.upol.cz. You may ask a Czech student e.g. to pick you up at Olomouc railway station and accompany you to dorms. Unfortunately, neither the university or buddy service cannot arrange such a  service from the Prague airport. Buddy System is organized by ESN UP (Erasmus Student Network at Palacký University). It is designed to give to incoming students a smooth start into studies and stay at PU.

Housing for all Erasmus students is booked in students' halls of residence in  Neředín campus (Neředín = a  name of the city residential district, where the halls of residence are situated)

Address:
VSK Neředín (Neředín Hall of Residence)
U Letiště 12
771 11 Olomouc

In Neředín, at the campus, enter a partly glass-in rounded building with a reception desk, the building itself is immediately visible from the tram stop since it is  situated in the middle of the campus. Planning your arrival date, please note that the service at the reception is nearly non-stop, though between midnight and 6 a.m. you will have to ring the bell to get in. At the reception, introduce yourself as an Erasmus student, identify yourself with ID or with a passport.  You will get a key, sign a housing contract and pay a refundable deposit of  1 500,- CZK (60 Euro).*
