Erasmus work placement offer in Spain

Required profile of the candidates:

• students of Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmacy or Structural Biology
• work experience with cloning, protein expression and purification, yeast-2-hybrid (Y2H)
• good command of English

 

Work programme:

• characterization of the protein-protein interactors of human orphan receptor TLX, implicated in neural stem cells, neurogenesis and brain development
• characterization of the interaction of TLX with identified putative protein partners, usage of Y2H, co-immunoprecipitation, pull-downs, and TAP-tag purification
• structural and functional characterization of such proteins and their complexes: crystallization trials and X-ray crystallography

 

Anticipated temporal frame of the placement: 01/10/2012 – 29/02/2013

Financial contribution: Erasmus scholarship 577 EUR per mont
