Required profile of the candidates:

• students of Biochemistry, Biology or Structural Biology
• work experience with protein expression and purification, Y2H, cloning
• good command of English    

Work programme:

• cloning of several poly-glutamine constructs of androgen receptor implicated in the rare neurodegenerative disease called Kennedy disease
• biochemical characterization of such constructs in complex with putative protein binders
• structural and functional characterization of such proteins and complexes

Anticipated temporal frame of the placement: 01/09/2011 – 29/02/2012
